Greetings,

I am a long time Zeagle customer and graduated from a Tech BC to a Zeagle SS backplate that I mounted my tech wing on.

With a new diver in the family, I want to pass my Tech BC down to them. I've removed the wing from my backplate and reassembled the Tech to its original glory. Voila.

I inherited a Dive Rite rec (dual) wing that I would like to mount on my backplate.

Currently diving a single tank.

Questions:

Unlike the Zeagle wings, which can be mounted with the 8 bolt kit, the Dive Rite wing simply has 6 grommets in the center of the wing; Zeagle also offers wings with a similar mounting option--those that are BP specific (i.e, cannot also be used with a BC). I presume the preferred mounting method is to attach this to my backplate with stainless steel "sex" bolts, similar to those that you would attach a backplate pad or Zeagle weight system with?

Also, since the Tech wing didn't have any material in its center like the Dive Rite/others, do I need an STA, or am I still OK to proceed as I had previously?

Many thanks in advance.

Scott,

I finally have all the pieces I need to get my new rig assembled.
Since I re-assembled the Tech, I purchased new tank bands for the BP and now I'm without those rubber pads, referred to in the BCD manual as "Non-Slip plates" on my tank straps. I'm not so concerned about slippage as I am about the bolts securing the wing to the BP scratching through the protective finish on my steel tanks. How/where can I go about finding these?

Thanks!
