my dive rite nitek duo resetted itself and has revertted back to the metric system. it now reads in meters. i was using feet before and i cannot find a way to put it back to the original setting. please help.

i also noticed that my first two dives were erased. the computer has a 60hour log memory but my total dives on it are only 26 hours. weird..

Do a bit of a search here - there have been numerous posts on less-than-optimal performance this year by Dive Rite Nitek Duo users and Apeks Quantum users - but none I've seen for similar problems from TUSA IQ-700 users - yet (fingers crossed).

You ought to contact Dive Rite. A member of their staff is a member of this community as KVDiver, signed his post as 'Jerry'. You can do a search for his posts - but if I were you I'd call them and not just depend on e-mail or a PM via this board.

thanks. got it fixed. brought it to the local dive rite distributor and problem solved

Keep your fingers crossed - some folks have posted they've exchanged their malfunctioning computers for new ones two or three times and still had problems.

I still use my veteran DR NiTek3 to back up my TUSA IQ-700, and I haven't had a problem with either one that I own - so far! My next dive trip is in a couple of weeks and I still plan on using this redundancy, even though only 'recreational' profiles are allowed, as I'd be quite unhappy if I had to sit out 24 hours of a weekend Flower Gardens NMS trip due to a dive computer issue.
