Right when I got in my Transpac I immediately took off the crotch strap without diving it first. Now, my curiosity is getting to me and I want to try some dives with it. The problem is, I can't figure out how it was attached to the the "butt" d-ring. I'm looking at a piece of webbing with a buckle at the end of it.

The transpac is different than a BP, I believe...I thought one end had a hole for a sex bolt which attached it to the transpac? One end'll have a loop for the waist belt to go through, the oposite end is what goes on the transpac in the butt. But I think on Dive Rite Express there was a sex bolt and it went through a grommet?? Dive Rite Express has pictures and videos of the Transpac, you might could watch them to see if they show it well enough for you to copy it.

Hey Chefchris,

I am assuming you have a 1-inch crotch strap? If so, make sure the 1-inch black belt slide is attached to the webbing. Run the webbing through the 1-inch D-ring that is located on the base of the backplate. Then run that same webbing back through the 1-inch belt slide (so you will run it underneath the belt slide).

This holds the strap securely. You can adjust the length from the other side (front side adjustment).

I hope this helps. Give us a PM or another post if not.

Best,
Kathleen
