Not sure how it’s happening, but here it is. Whenever I open a new page to anywhere on SB ,when the DRIS banner is supposed to display it takes me to their site and then 404. I think it’s trying to display a Black Friday ad.

This is on Safari on iOS 11.x (most recent)

I was about to reply that I haven’t had it happen again, and then it did it again. It keeps taking me here https://www.diverightinscuba.com/blackfridaybanner/sb/index.html
But it just shows a file icon and the name of the page index.html instead of opening the actual page. Could be a safari issue being triggered by that banner.

As the guy who made the banner.... I tested it on an iPhone 8 on iOS 11.0 using Safari and aside from the fact that the SB Ad Server doesn't support HTML5 banners that are responsive, since they have to be iframed in... The banner works properly.

Clicking on it takes me here ->

With that said, the black Friday deals are here Black Friday Scuba Gear Sale - Dive Right in Scuba if you are unable to click on the banner... but as a developer, it's impossible to ensure that every single person will have an issue free experience, depending on what apps and plugins you may have on your system.

I think it’s iOS not the banner, on that note the emulator in safari for Mac has never worked properly for me, I would test it on an actual iPhone. I’m still having the issue as well, I’ll just have to browse SB with my Laptop.

It’s actually not 404ing, it’s displaying a file icon with page name.

I cleared the cache on my phone and it seems to have resolved the issue. I swear I tried that before.........:D

It’s not you, it’s them. I have the same problem on an iPad running ios11.

I tried clearing everying from scubaboard from my iPad and the problem continued, deleting everything from the diveright site seems to have fixed it.

Did you have more than one version of the banner released? Could we have had a stale buggy one cached?

Bring back tapatalk, all is forgiven...
