Beach/kayak diving on this coast is pretty much a waste of time for the foreseeable future. Time to hit the springs, Lake Denton or the Keys!
Options are nice to have.

Did a dive at South Brohard this morning. In at 10 AM, winds out of the South East on entrance and then switched to the South West upon exit. Water temp 80°. Visibility doable, but poor. I would say 3 to 4 feet, with a lot of snot. The reef looks pretty dead. I saw 4 Sheepshead and one juvenile grouper. The water is literally silent. There is no snapping or crackling to be heard.

Thanks for the report

Did a kayak dive Wednesday at South Broward. A couple days of east winds had the red tide out to sea and it was like a normal Venice dive! News this morning has west winds coming back so it could go downhill again. Three foot visibility and only one small reef fish, flat seas.
