vis 2'+, out at the reef places opened up to 6'+

Got some broken megs, a nice 2" mako, a nice 1 3/4" hemi and the usual small stuff
 
Alhambra 6/27/10 @ 12:00ish
water temp was nice but i don't have my computer with me now.
Two dives about 45 mins each
Vis was 3-5 which is the best I have seen it this year in Venice
Saw four flounder around the blocks and lots of smaller fish/starfish
Small finds but no megs

Vis 4' at the sandbar dropped to <1' till I got out to 20' and then it was maybe 2'-3' at best

found some small stuff
Went mostly to check adjustments to my double hose reg

vis 2-3 feet in morning by mid day 2 feet or less
lots of snow particles in the water
water temp almost hot at 85' cooler on surface
cloudy conditions made it dark down there
boneyard/Venice
found a few smaller megs but nice quality
no rain but seemed to be all up North in Sarasota up

Vis is coming back !!!!!
Vis in the morning was 6-8 feet on bottom and up level was 12-15 feet
seas were flat calm in the morning
water temp awesome 85 bottom was refreshing due to air temp hot 93
high tide in morning could see the low tide water working its way out of jetty's
around 430 was milky and see a green clear water line head south

Finds 2 3/4" meg, 2 1/4" mako, 2 horse teeth, the usual small stuff, a couple scallops (fossils)
 
yesterday north side of sharkys pier. seas calm, partly cloudy, viz 1-3 feet. a layer of silt everywhere. Very difficult to find anything.
 
7-14-10 @1100ish Alhambra surface water temp 82 bottom temp 77 strong southerly current.

Viz seemed less than zero.....

Wife and daughter and I tied loops in flag line and stayed together that way. Lots of silt. Plenty of wildlife at blocks, flounder, sergeant majors, lizardfish.

Handfuls of teeth, nothing large, but good quality.

Really tough to see anything not 6" away...going to Service Club in an hour
 
Venice beach in boneyard in 28 feet

high tide, tide seemed to be working its way to low but on the high end still
vis 12-14 feet
seas conditions pretty flat maybe 1-2 feet
winds out of the south little current push to the north
water temp dropped surface 75 bottom 73
nice to see vis coming back
