Nautilus Dive Tech were out searching for new sites today using side scan sonar. We found a couple of new sites outside of the bay and we will post more details and photos over the next few days. Todays Sites: New Site Alpha, Pelican Rock and North Wall
Max Depth 120ft
Water Temp 74f to 86f
Visibility 20-50ft
New site Alpha was great this morning and visibility was fantastic for the first 60ft and then it closed in on us a bit. The rock formations at this site are just fantastic and we were surrounded for the whole dive by large Jacks and Grouper. This site also seems to have an abundance of Lobsters around.
Pelican Rock was great and again very good visibility here today. Around North Wall we found 4 Frogfish again lots of Grouper and Parrotfish as well as Panamic Morays, a few Nudibranchs and a very playful Sealion

Happy Diving :D

Great diving at the Cannery today where we were lucky enough to see a large school of Mobula at the edge of the bay and an Octopus and a couple of Lobsters. The water at North Wall was also beautiful today and we saw several large Groupers, Morays, Parrot Fish etc....

Imagine watching this sealion from two meters... and being watch by this sealion. Imagine being at the sea, just floating in the middle of the blue that could contain almost anything you could think of, and confronting the eyes of the kind of creature you could only see by documentaries and TV stuff.
I was in there, fellows.
I truthly recomend to try some diving.

By the way, i want the pictures, mike.

Todays Sites: The Canyon(South of the Point) The Blowhole
Visibilty: 30-50ft
Water Temps 68-88f
Max Depth 160ft
The water was great today at the Blowhole everything was very clear. We found several Lobsters, a Green Turtle, loads of Rays and Morays
We were also exploring today and did a deco dive along the canyon wall further into the pacific than normal. There was a fairly strong current running on that dive and made it a little difficult for us. The views of the underwater canyon there are nothing short of breathtaking though and it was an amazing dive along the wall.

It was also great to see that a few of the local Sealions have returned from their vacation!!

Happy Diving :D

Beautiful Diving today the Cannery Bay was filled with balls of baitfish that blocked out the sun as they swirled around us. Also had a small group of Barracuda, Morays, Lobster and a few Nudibranchs here today.
North Wall was also amazing and the views down into the Canyon were great today. The usual large Parrotfish, Groupers, Sergeant Majors were around today and also some nice Garden Eels, Nudibranchs and a large number of Gobys!!

Happy Diving :D

Todays Sites: Neptune's Finger and The Point
Max Depth 100ft
Water Temps 79f -86f
Visibility 50-80ft
Beautiful dive today with the Rebreather over at Neptunes Finger. Had a Sealion come to join us for part of the dive and had a great time looking at the rock formations and watching the large schools of fish around the feeding station. The Point was also nice and we again had Sealions around at the beginning of the dive. Current/swell was fairly strong around the Pacific side though and we had a nice drift out from the point at the end!!

Happy Diving :D
