Ok I am looking for an eastern michigan dive report...I always see them for Milwalkee AREA but nothing for Eastern MI eara. I.E. Port Sanilac area...I have been diving all winter long but not on the wrecks mostly the quarrys...Why isnt it like the milwalkee area all winter the boats run. looking to get out somtime soon. Has anyone been on them latley or plan on going anytime soon...

maybe on the east side of LM they just dive Quarries IN THE COLD MONTHS?

Our members from the western side have pretty much summed it up. I do believe that with the exception of Osprey Charters in upstate NY, most of the charter captains are just now starting to put their boats in the water on Lake Huron and points east. Actually most wait until early May. The slip fees are terrible and the lakes are simply too unpredictable to make a profitable run this time of year.

I tried to dive with Osprey (Horizons) on New Year's Day and got blown off. You just don't pull a 75 ft. boat out of the water :), but that doesn't make 6-8 foot waves any easier to get back on the boat with.

Stay tuned. I have a couple of deeper trips that I will be reporting on starting in June :) .
