Awesome day of diving off of Carmel. Viz was 40-50ish. Time: about 45
minutes, 100' max. 50 degrees.

Here's the video of Dive 1: _http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4icJzTCHEM_

So if you missed diving this weekend, check it out! It was glassy smooth
motoring out to Carmel this day. 1000's of jellies could be seen on the surface
during our surface interval. Phil and I splashed to initially search for
the reel he dropped at the spot a few weeks ago. After looking for a few
minutes, we decided it was a lost cause. Too many crevices, kelp, etc.

The rest of the dive was just spent swimming about and me doing video.
That's Phil in the video. Funny how divers act when they are being videoed. Me
included.

Additon/edit to this post: Dive 2 Inner Pinnacles: I'm doing the video and the diver you see is Phil AKA Phylo:

Nice video! I am (hopefully) diving next weekend, although probably Lovers and something else - hopefully the vis will hold up.

Nice inversion by Phil - I always love that feeling in a drysuit. :)

Thanks for sharing...I am off to watch your Spiegel Grove video now. :)

The whales and dolphin were all over the place in Pt. Lobos on Saturday. The captain on board the boat said he saw a while giant pod of them just cruising by, and the dolphins were checking us out underwater so had a good time. :)

Cheers! Royston

DocWong:
Thanks guys! I've got more to upload. Dive 2 and one on the Moon Jellys that day!

Awesome! Let us know when they are up so we can check them out! :) I can't wait for next weekend. Anyone else going to be down there? I know Tom and Puffer_Fish might be.

Where are the photos Roy?!?! Come on! :)

That vis was stunning. Not so with the 7-10 ft vis we had on the N Coast this weekend.

They ran off on me leaving a trail of bubbles and all I got was backscattered. :shakehead: Those fishy devils, I still remembered they messed up my navigation training when doing the advance openwater class.

OK, here are the 2 other videos I just finished editing.

I'll be at Breakwater Sunday and will be diving from 9:00-12:30 for one long training dive with my little dive team. After that we'll be having coffee and such at the East Village Coffee shop in town. If anyone is interested in seeing what we're up to, I'll be showing video of our practice session.

Anyone diving on Monday in Monterey?

Great videos Doc Wong! I am particularly partial to the soundtrack on the jellyfish video!

Hey - I didn't know that you were one-and-the-same of the Motorcycle Doc Wong group! I have heard of your group through my husband who works with someone who rides with your group. We were actually just talking about "you" this weekend! Small world.

I am going to be down Saturday and Sunday - probably not until the afternoon on Saturday though. I will be, more than likely, at the Breakwater on Sunday in the AM doing some dives and trying, again, to find the Metridium Field. So elusive for me despite having directions.....
