Ahhh . . . the lovely art of hooking a wreck. Sorry to hear about your mud dives, but we've all done'em. Think of it as experience building.
The Troydon typically isn't too tough to grab unless the hook is running along the axis of the wreck and not quite perpendicular to her. The BP, on the other hand, can be a pain in the ****. We've found that on some of these more intact sites that dropping a shot line and a diver to tie in is less time consuming and an easier option than setting a hook. On wooden wrecks there is the added benefit of minimizing damage to the site.
