Ok, I have been really bad and not doing trip reports...I blame SB and not being able to upload images...there, I feel better already.

Last Sat did a three tank off shore dive on the chipawau, twin tugs and some other wreck near there... all fairly deep.

Interesting conditions... 90 degrees on the top, in the 60's on the bottom.

Not a huge fan of picture taking on wrecks, so only shot a few images.

Sunday was a bridge span (oh joy) and the black bart..(double oh joy)..

So, some pictures:

Been shooting a lot of no strobe images (gives me something to do in the evenings)

That last image was at just over 100 ft, no flash, shot at ISO 80...some major out of the camera adjustment had to be made.

Then some macro...

most likely I assume the pic is the Black Barts wheel house. I see a diver with a speargun in the far side of the pic.

was the Goliath Grouper on the Bart still chasing ofter spearfishermen when you were there?

I've had several folks saying that it will stalk you for fish if you shoot something and one of the charter deckhands said this past weekend it stole a fish still on the spear from a diver and was scene swimming around with the spear sticking out of it's mouth.

That was one of the crew.. and no, he did not get anything, and yes the Grouper was still there. There were two on the twin tugs... but could not get them into a position where it would have been anything but a butt shot.

Thanks for sharing. The top photo looks almost 3-D. I discovered my limits of cold tolerance in a 3 mil suit on those deep dives.

I had on 7mm boots, a two piece 3mm, a hood and gloves and was very cold... not sure how you managed to survive with a 3mm on.

If you notice, I posted examples of:

an up shot

a down shot

a foreground/diver image

and the one you have commented on, the back lit image.

I was actually just trying to do the fish shot when I noticed our diver in the background...

viz looks good

Top water was very clear.. the deeper stuff is thru the magic of photo manipulation. Really deep and the vis was terrible... so I shot macro....
