headhunter:
Nice report, Jim!

Makes me want to take a trip.

So, where are you going next for another International adventure? Seems you're turning into quite the jet-setter! :eyebrow:

Christian

Taking Myrna and the kids to Waikiki in August for the kid-ette's 16th birthday. I think I'll be doing more surfing than diving though.

That should be fun!

I just started uploading some of my VERY FIRST UW photos, taken while in Bonaire last week during and after my UW photo class. Any comments or tips would be appreciated.

This one's my favorite:

Nice first shots Jim! I assume you have an internal strobe. An external strobe (moving the light source away from the lens) will eliminate (well, it's supposed to anyway, LOL) te backscatter.

Chris

Chris, actually it was an external strobe on a pretty big arm. I was puzzled at why there was backscatter. My guess is that the strobe wasn't pointed at quite the right angle.

I'm with Herman!
Jim- I thought there were TONS of great restaurants there! You could eat somewhere different every night for a month!(Im a chef and very picky)
I took my non diving GF and we had a ball! Island tour/drive around Boca Slagbai, mangrove tour/snorkel-cave tour/snorkel. Hang out on the beach at Klein or Lac Cai.
Get over to Gibis or the Rose Inn in Rincon for some local food!
Karels gets going at night..live music, etc.
Head over to Lac Cai on sunday afternoon to party/live music/food and hang with the locals!

Have a safe trip home!

Great report Jim. I hope to go there myself this year, or next year, or the year after that..........
