A couple of buddies and I decided to do a New Year dive at Morrison and St. Andrews. We met up at morrison about 9am and geared up. The spring was green and murky, unlike the crystal blue I usually see when I dive there. Visibility was about 20 feet and a couple of eels came out to poke around the basin. After our dive, we decided to get some german food before heading to St. Andrews park. The nice thing about diving in the winter is the usual shore spots aren't crowded. The water temperature in the channel was a cool 64 degrees with minimal current and visibility was 8 to 10 feet. We saw the usual critters there: arrow crabs, angel fish, grouper and a very large snapper. There were a few large jelly fish on the bottom next to rocks and a couple of sea cucumbers. At some point soon, I will get a video system so I can post some footage to go along with these reports. I had a great day of diving with some excellent, sometimes comical company. Portofino report soon to come......

Thanks for the report.

Let me know when you're in the market for a camera, I may be willing to sell mine in a few months if you're interested.

Cool, I'll keep that in mind.

The caves have spoiled me. 64 degrees sounds chilly. I hope to dive St Andrews at Springfest. :)

Lol yeah it's a bit shocking at first then not so bad. When is springfest? I'm not sure if I'll be able to go this year.
