Hi all

I am planning my 2016 dive travel .

Best resort in raja Ampat ?

March is ok to dive ?

I am travel alone .

Why not a liveaboard instead? Group trip has room on Damai II departing from Sorong on January 24, if I recall the date correctly. Majority of divers aboard will be single. Let me know if you're interested in more info.

Hi there!

That is actually one of the best times of the year to visit Raja Ampat, although it is general good year round. Here is some more specific info on weather. I agree that it may be best to consider a Liveaboard for Raja Ampat because some of the best locations are quite inaccessible otherwise. This will also allow you to get to places that are not crowded with other divers.

I would suggest taking a look at this charter: Indonesia Aggressor Liveaboard. It offers 4 different itineraries and 25% off certain dates at $2230.

If you'd like more detailed recommendations, I'd be happy to chat with you. I can be reached at 1-808-345-0766 or 1-202-800-9007. Also by email at info@oasisadventure.com

Happy diving!

I just came back from Raja Ampat, a liveaboard is a good option for sure, but if you prefer to be on land I recommend Waiwo Resort near Wasai. It's near Wasai village and the pier so easily accessible and still not to far from the best dive sites like Cape Kri, Sardine Reef and Blue Magic. The only dive that's a bit far out is Manta Sandy, takes about one hour by boat.

If you want to see what the diving is like, check out my Raja Ampat destination guide.
