I'm spending 13 day in Puerto Rico. January 22-Feb 3. Traveling from San Juan, Ricon, Cobo Rojo, Ponce. Any one have any info regarding diving on the island at these places? Dive operators, dive sites, shore dive?
Thanks

Rincon, try Taino Divers. Good people. The op I dived with on south side and east end, Fajardo area wasn't very responsive, and weather wasn't conducive then to good dives, so I can't be too helpful, and shouldn't judge too harshly.

We also dived on the island, Culebra, and had a great time. Not a lot of divers get there, so we had a ball, my two kids,my gf, and I. Diving and snorkeling were very good. The gf hadn't yet certed, and she really had a fantastic time snorkeling. We returned for just the day, on our dry to fly day last year, just to snorkel Melonese site, a short hike from the ferry pier.

My gf loves PR. Several climates on one island. Friendly people. lots of fun twisty roads in the higher areas! Some horrible drivers tho, but better than when I was there in the early 70's. Back then it was outlaw driving like I'd never seen before!

Have fun.

Thanks for the info. I'll the area a try. Seems like snorkeling is not bad. As an aside, I dive the St. Lawrence, A'bay area in summer. I agree, chiily in May!!! Live in Florida 8 months, A'bay 4 months.
Thanks again!!!
