Dive plan for Bashan Lake?

Anyone have one?

I saw some mention of diving here in old posts but never much details beyond the boat launch location. I figure it's pretty close to my house so my wife and I should check it out. We went down to the boat launch area this evening but I'm not sure what you'd do after swimming down the channel into the lake, follow the left bank, the right bank, stay in the middle???? I won't lie - the surface swim down that channel with the possibility of boat traffic makes me a bit nervous - or is the standard entry to walk down that little path on the right to end end of the channel?

Any tips anyone has would be appreciated
