I'll be down for Business/pleasure from about Nov 4-9, 2010. Always looking for a dive opportunity. I've heard of the Jetties, but tell me more. Not just about the Jetties, but other local salt water or fresh possibilities.

Suggest Dive operators / shops to use please.

See you there maybe...

Scuba Tech is a great shop, they have their own boat (SeaCobra). Assuming the oil is gone (which is an assumption) I'd try to get a natural bottom trip in. Short of that, you have the jetties before high tide, Ft. Pickens in Pensacola, St. Andrews jetties in Panama City, Vortex Spring, Morrison Spring and Cypress Spring inshore a bit, and Pensacola should have plenty of charters going out too,

Emerald Coast Scuba (divedestin.com) is another good op. The jetties can be a nice dive. There are some Tugs, Barges, Army Tanks, a liberty ship and the like. If you need a buddy while your down, PM me. I'm should be around that time year.

Here is a link to some good info about the jetties.

Ohonu, I'll keep that in mind. No other divers going with me far as I know. So a buddy might be just the thing. Jetties sound interesting if my schedule will fit the tides.

We Dive the jetties every couple of weekends. We take our boat sometimes, because the walk can be a bit of a pain. Sometimes the fam will go with us, we usually drop them at the beach before we dive. My deck boat is more of a bay boat, so i couldn't help you get to those better offshore sites.

Either way, i live just across the bay from Destin, so look me up if you wanna splash together.
