LOL nice first post Keishagirl

I will entertain you on a few points since you bought them up

I am really laughing that you bring up something that was 10-12 years ago and use that as an excuse, LOL I was given notice just as you have been done with one exception, I was man enough to honor the hotels wishes and move without them having to take further action.

People grow apart and after many years at the location the Sunbreeze wanted a change just like they do now, I moved on to bigger and better things but thats so long ago I forgot already LOL

I moved to another dock for a very short time before opening my own successful dive resort after leaving the Sunbreeze and operated it for 6 years before selling.

I have no ill feeling toward AD or the Sunbreeze in fact I am still good friends with the management of SB.

I am just stating the truth based on your past customers reviews of you found easily on the net and and since you bought it up let me direct to where the comments are coming from in my previous emails

The last review of your company posted by a REAL guest on the net was on April 2nd 2010 with the headline

They may be the cheapest, but I would not go with them again”

and goes on to explain the reason why and sign off with a very clear account of who he is and that he has 32 years experience.

here is the link

They may be the cheapest, but I would not go with them again - Review of Aqua Dives Belize, San Pedro, Belize - TripAdvisor

There are 46 reviews of Aqua Dives some very good but 15 are not good at all you do the percentages, that added wth the couple on here it seems to me I am being fair and accurate in my perception

Please also take the time to view your competiion on the same site since you imply that the same could be applied to everyone they have from 100% to 85% approval rating.

I am entitiled to my opinion I would not send any of my divers to AD and that is really my perogative as I want my divers to be guaranteed a good time and based on the reviews posted by past customesr the percentages are too hit and miss.

But I will refrain from mentioning you guys and just advise potential divers to research AD and ask on the boards.

My wife and I had just gotten our PADI OW cert in Vancouver and headed down to Ambergris to try out our new skills. Based on several recommendations and the proximity to our hotel (tho most dive ops will pick you up at the nearest dock to your hotel), we dove the whole week with Ecologic.

Ecologic gave us a great deal since we dove with them for several days. They had excellent equipment. The divemasters, Marcos and Charlie were real characters but VERY attentive. The DM / diver ratio was very high and I always felt well looked after. They divided us well by experience and sent the more experienced folks with different DMs. The new owners of the shop, Ian and ... (oops forgot his name) were working on improving their facilities, equipment, and service, were a lot of fun and exchanged ideas with their customers about how to improve. Plenty of fresh fruit during surface intervals. And a cooler of steaming hot eucalyptus wash cloths on the boat for after dives (yeah, unnecessary but it was a nice touch).

I'd recommend them again to anyone - fantastic time with Ecologic.

BTW, not sure if it is different in June but there isn't really any need to purchase dives before you get down there - show up and on your first day walk around to the different docks and talk to the ops, you'll find one you like. We checked out Amigos del Mar, Aquadives, Chuck and Robbie's before selecting Ecologic.

Holidays are different and you should pre book especially Christmas Easter etc

Other than five or six years ago when we were full on a small handful of "high days", I don't think I've ever seen any operator full. Visitor numbers are much lower than they used to be, or at any rate those taking tours are.

Prebook if you're bringing a group, but then you would anyway as probably you'd have a package including accommodation and everything would be arranged beforehand, but otherwise I would suggest you DON'T prebook diving and other tours. Perhaps arrange the first day's excursion with your preferred operator to ensure you don't miss out that morning, but unless you are certain who you want to go out with I'd use the other part of that first diving day checking other operators to see which you prefer. Unless you get an extremely good deal never pay up front for dives - there are some operators which will NOT refund you if for any reason you don't do all those dives. Before you pay make sure you will be able to get your money back.

This isn't just here in Belize - I'd say the same for diving in quite a few parts of the world.

It looks like Aqua dives filed a injunction to stay, their court appearance is the 17th of May. Hopefully they will have their building done by then.
We await Dive connections arrival.

I see that AquaDives is advertising some pretty amazing prices, like the standard Blue Hole trip for US$75 less than other operators. Whatever their reasons, this is pretty good for customers.

cyberdyver what I told you about hating... like what Peter keep saying TripAdvisor is not even a true indication of the quality of a business... What are you trying to say? That the rankings on tripadvisor are real. You can say that any of those small companies are better than a bigger company like Amigos Del Mar, Ecologic or Aqua Dives. Seriously... Hopefully the smart customer would see all these big companies all over the world suing TripAdvisor for the same reasons of providing a wrong impression... The data on trip advisor indicates that a company like Amgios only has 29 reviews and Aqua Dives only has 46 you think that is even a slight indication of the 1,000's of satisfied customers that leave these DO each year. I guess one could see this going into slow season... with which DO has customers while others remain with none. Any DO can provide great discounts for their customers why don't the rest follow the line. Do they not care about the value of their customers...
