I'm looking for a dive operator recommendation in Grand Cayman that will be good for my mother who is an older inexperienced diver. This will be her second dive experience after OW certification, and she would do well in a guided, structured situation with plenty of personal attention as she works toward shedding her "training wheels". She will be staying near Seven Mile Beach, so an operator on that side of the island would be preferable. Thanks in advance for any help you all can give me!

If you do a search here you will see many good recommended operators such as DNS Diving,Ambassadaor,Wall to Wall,Indigo,In Depth..etc.etc.. Seems as if everyone has their own preference and most all dive Ops on Cayman are good and safe. Possibly your mom should contact one ahead or time and see about hiring a Dive Master to go one on one with her till she gets more experience and more comfortable in the water it would probably boost her confidence and add to the safety factor. You can't expect individual/personal attention from a Dive Master who has possibly 8 people to watch.

Another oppion would be a guided shore dive or two at Turtle Reef or Lighthouse Point. Calm water, easy orientation and easy access. Either Happy Fish Divers at Turtle Reef or Divetech at Lighthouse should be able to accomodate you.
