Dive op / site recommendations– Waikoloa Hawaii and San Jose el Cabo

I am getting ready to book a family vacation for mid January using the hotel and airline points I’ve accumulated over the last couple of years. Based on flight & room availability we’ve narrowed it to either the Waikoloa Village coast of Hawaii or a resort along the coast between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo… I am hoping to dive 3 or 4 of the days we are there and hopefully get my 12 year old daughter (OW certified) at least 1 or 2 of those days …

I am looking for recommendations for dive ops & sites (boat & shore) in either of these locations??

Ok, someone on SB has to have dove in either one or the other of these locations???
