Dive magazine subscription

Hello everyone! I am new to diving and am looking for a good dive magazine that I could subscribe to. I was thinking about Scuba Diving Magazine because I like testing on equipment. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It will be interesting to see what other magazines are out there. My subscription to Skin Diver must have expired.

"Sport Diver" usualy has lots of good destination oriented articles.
But its a little heavy on advertising.

I like Dive Training magazine...enough that I'll buy it on the newsstands if I haven't been by my LDS. I prefer Sport Diver over the other one mentioned even with all the ads (which I love since I know without advertising there is no magazine!).

that's because they went out of business years ago.

we get all 4 of these and there are good things and bad things about each.

I get free Scuba Diving magazines sent to my house courtesy of ScubaToys. Not sure why, but I don't like to complain about free stuff. It is a good mag with a lot of good info on the popular dive sites. I also like seeing places I have been in the articles.

The PADI magazine reads like a travel brochure for foreign climates and i wouldnt trust kit reviews in ANY magazine.

I agree in part. Here's the exception: Undercurrent Magazine

I get a lot of magazines for free, sport diver etc.

I only pay for one, my opinion the best mag out there.

You sure that Skin Diver is out of business? The mail takes a long time to get to Roatan, but we just the other day got the November 2002 edition.
