Does anyone know of any places to dive near Lexington. I know of Falling Rock where I went for certification dives but is there anyplace closer around Lexington.

Well,.....

Go out Russell Cave Road until you are near the northern bourbon county border. There is a HUGE quarry on your left. Park you car in the bushes and make sure no one sees you. Large Bass, Large Bluegill and a few other critters in there. It's probably 40+ acres of surface water. Owned by the Hinkle's....and they will not sale.

Good Luck

Do the Hinkle's own any guns???
And are they related to the local magistrate or sheriff?

Let's rephase this. Any public places to dive. I'd hate to get shot trying to get away in dive gear on land.

Well if anyone is looking for a buddy I want to dive laurel lake with an experienced diver to the lake..... Also planning pennyroyal for the 17& 18th of Sept

Wow, I can't believe there's nothing closer to Lexington. Especially with all the lakes around here. I'll have to start checking places out I quess and see if they are diveable. Perhaps there can be a list started here.

LMAO...I would say they probably do. They own a HUGE construction company so I'm guessing they are probably in local politics too.
