Hi all,
I have a Darkbuster HID light and I can't unscrew the nacelle. I've tried Channel locks, putting it in the freezer and the damn thing won't budge. The only reason I am taking it off is to disconnect the battery. I've been told that this is a requirement in the Caymans. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jim

I have no idea if the light will disassemble, but very little will withstand the gentle force of one of those "as seen on TV" rubber strap wrench thingies for getting lids off of pickle jars.

Skip the Channel Locks. Flashlight bezels are the weak link in any housing.

If the light has been used in salt water, salt crystals in the threads can be part of the problem. Soak it in alternating baths of fresh water and vinegar, and shake it vigorously in both, to dissolve them, then use a pair of rubber strap wrenches.
