I'm a Fish!
Anyone ever tried this before?

ive never flown with my dive gear before, so am contemplating loading my dive into a my backpacking pack.

any problems? assuming the backpack is sturdy enough to carry the weight.

i cant think of any except to ensure that your gear is dry (coz its gonna mix with clothes, shoes etc)

I generally use a small carry on size suit case and put my BP& Wing in that. The wing folds up pretty good and the plate is relatively flat. It sure shows up in the xray but no problem.

No problems, I have done this many times. The same pack I used to take for multi-month backpacking trips works great for carrying my full set of dive gear on long dive trips...
