Perhaps snapping the blades out of my cheap-o disposable razor and then either taping, gluing or melting them to the end of my toothbrush.

What were you in for?

I just returned from a cruise and had my dive knife in my checked luggage it went on with no problem. I then took it a shore for a dive and returned to the ship and passed it through the x-ray machine to come back on board with no problem. Hope that makes everyone sleep better.

I DID have a new TSA lock on it. As a matter of fact I finished my dive by 12pm and went back to the ship. As soon as I stepped on board and swiped my passenger card into the reader, alarms went off and the next thing I know I'm getting searched and then told to report to the purser's desk because they had just received my missing bag.
I went there and saw that they had opened my bag and only then let it onboard. Too late, I already did my diving. I asked them about reembursement and they had no clue. (diveshop stated that airlines reemburse when this happens with them so I should try it with the Carnival)
I'm on hold as I type. Carnival is telling me that the porters who take my bags outside the ship don't work for Carnival. I told them I cruise Carnival every year and this will be the last time. So I'm on hold, and waiting to see what happens. I got a bad feeling.

Wow, that blows.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe my Zeagle Stiletto is a better setup for travel vs. my BP/W.

However I can NOT see how ANYONE could mistake a STA for a knife!

One question, you can't take a knife on a cruise? I've traveled with mine to MX, and other destinations without issue. I just check it when I fly, no problems. I find it comes if VERY handy, for cutting up Oranges! :rofl3:

Maybe it's time to skip the cruise, and do a dive trip. Some people love to Cruise, but I'm in the category that likes the diving more than the cruising!

This was one of those "Wife Trips". I just managed to squeeze in a dive. She's sending me somewhere else for my diving. I'm choosing between Bonaire and the Florida Keys.

Update: A report has been filed with Carnival. In a few weeks management will make their decision and send me their answer via mail.

Raising my right hand and volunteering. Then not learning my lesson and volunteering for some different kind of training....

They said I can write a book about it in 72 years. I can't wait....
