I'm using Dive Friends on an upcoming trip and am curious about tank access. Is there a way to work out 24/7 tank access or will i need to make sure i check out tanks every afternoon before they close up shop?

Why not contact them directly via phone or email? That way you will hopefully get the correct information.

Do I have access to tanks 24 hours a day?
The tank lockers and nitrox stations at our dive locations are open from 8am to 5pm (8:30-4:30 at Hamlet Oasis). But if you're planning a night dive or a dawn dive, you can leave your tanks in our night locker, just ask any of our crew for details.

Every time I was on Bonaire I used Dive Friends. Different sites have different closing times. I never found it a problem to grab as many tanks as I needed for the rest of the day and to start the next.

We use the Dive Friends shop located at Sand Dollar. If you are diving with them, they have 24/7 tank access with a combination lock on the tank room. they are a great group to dive with. I don't know if that service is available at all of their locations.

That service is only available at the Sand Dollar location..... and is only available if you are staying at Sand Dollar, I think.

Awesome! That's where i'm staying so that's perfect. Thanks for all the helpful responses.

You can pick up tanks in the afternoon before they close and exchange them the following day, so we've never really had an issue with the 24 hr access.

Bear in mind that their stated policy is maximum 2 tanks per diver out at any given time. (This is also stated on the FAQ page on their website.)

They often turn a friendly blind eye to this policy during the slower seasons when they have plenty of tanks available. But I've seen them running at capacity and nearly run out of tanks during peak winter diving season. At that point they're obliged to get a little more militant about enforcement of the 2-tank limit to avoid running out of tanks. So I always ask before taking extra tanks.

There is a parking lot just on the other side of Dive Friends at Sand Dollar that isn't part of the condo complex, you should be able to get tanks there via the combination.

Have a great trip.
