I dove the 85 in July with 69 water temp, dove wet with a 6.5mm semi-dry & dove the 352 in November with 73 as water temp, dove dry.
Maybe someone has been on the 352 in July to get a better comparison. I have dove in Morehead City/Beaufort (best place to get to the 352 from) in July with a 3mm with water temps in the 80s.

Temps on the U352 in July range from the upper 70s to mid 80s. The U352 sits in the Gulf Stream while the U85 sits in the southern end of the Labrador Current.

I've dove both subs. In July you will more than likely have warmer waters and better visibility on the U-352. That is because the U-85 is in the Labador current and the U-352 is in the Gulf Stream in July. Although if I remember correctly the U-85 is 10-20' shallower than the U-352. Here is a dive report from my last dive on the U-352 in July 06: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/nc-wreck-divers/151768-trip-report-iii-july-12-u-352-spar.html We'll be diving her again in late June this summer.

I dive Cape lookout in the summer in a 3/2 without a hood.
