I absolutely LOVE the keys and the diving there. Alot of the smaller shops that I talked to when down there last August pretty much told me there are alot of the older generation of folks leaving the business because they are ready to retire and move on to something less stressful other than running a business. I for one would LOVE to purchase one of these established businesses that are for sale however cash flow is slow for me. Im a simple Firefighter/Medic that doesnt make enough money to front 80k-200k for a snorkeling/dive business as far as starting up. If anyone is interested in investing and going into it together just let me know. Im all about the motto "The more the merrier" in order to do something I absolutely LIVE doing. Im currently learning some technical dive stuff from a guy I know that does dive salvage here in VA. Only thing that sucks is that most of his "Salvage Duties" are sunk barges that companies want raised to recover for scrap or cleaning the bottoms of several nicely sized yachts. The pay is good but not even sure if I could include that in a part of the business in the keys. Any ideas or insights from some of you in here by all means send me a message.
