Hi All:

I'm working a three month contract on the Big Island and staying in Hilo.

I'm looking to do some advanced diving/lobstering/boat diving on the weekends. Any dive buddies out there?

I have my own gear and will share costs.

Thanks,

Aloha Ken welcome back to the islands.

Hello, I am a college student at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. I do a lot of diving in the area and can tell you a few things, one being that there is not dive boat on this side of the island (well, official at least). A lot of people own boats, but not many around here dive with them, its more on the kona side.

I am always doing some shore diving, I do some light spearing occassionally, its fun, but hard to find people to do it with. I know a lot of the local spots, there are some nice ones, but they usually include a intermediate to rough shore entry, especially during the winter, but its still not bad.

Anyway, happy diving.
