Hey BigBubbaJ and mblake, nice running in to you guys and meeting you today! Blake, you earn the Coldman award for diving wet ;)

Maybe next time I'll have diving gear with me instead of being on the bike, but I'm still gonna wait for a bit for it to warm up.

Kbear- Nice meeting you..

We had a great time with stellar conditions. We were pretty much the only divers at the beach. There was a class of some sorts running out of the dam area... very strange.
We dove with my new makeshift dive float - which was perfect! DIY folks will enjoy when I take a picture of it... imagine... 14 in inner tube. Hand basket from store... old dive flaf attached with wood rigging and bungee cords, and 75 ft of line with 3lb attached on the bottom! Perfect dive flag rig for lake diving!

We found the vis to be excellent - the first go around at the plane we were there with other folks who were kicking it up, so it was 1-8 ft, but after the plane heading 0 deg north we found vis about 20'. Diving back towards the flag float, we found a HUGE catfish waiting for crawdads in about 10' of water. I have never seen a catfish at Aurora before, so WOW! VERY nice dive.

We did an hour SI and went for a second dive. This time we navigated(and found!) the plane underwater from the beach.. so that was exciting. Lots of fish this go around.... vis at the plane was 12' or so... very nice. Lots of fish there too.

Water temp at the bottom was consistently 51 deg on both my computers. I give Mike props for diving wet... it was nice and comfortable dry!

Ron- I thought about calling you but your are never offline! doh!!

Good times. Met kbear who was kayaking and came over during our SI. No other divers at the beach... AWESOME day!!!!

Good diving, Mike! - You might just be an oyster after all!

Thanks for the update Bubba! Sounds like it continues to warm up - finally to the point where the fish are coming back out of the depths, huh?....with 94 degrees today it should get a good "boost". :)
