Hi Everyone!

Several of us have been talking about diving at Aurora Reservoir this coming Saturday.

This is all informal, nobody is sponsoring this. You'll need to bring all your own gear, including tanks and weights. Expect it to be cold beneath the thermocline, so I'd recommend at least a 5mm. I'll be diving in a drysuit.

Here's the rough plan:

Meet at the Aurora Reservoir dive beach around 10am. In the water by 11. If the weather's good and we're having fun, BBQ around 12 (I'm planning on bringing a small BBQ and you're welcome to cook on it too). For the brave, the crazy, and those of us who just don't learn the first time, another dive after lunch!

We may have someone else bringing a shade shelter but we can always use more. Hint.

The dive beach is not in the main part of the park (see attached map), but you'll still have to buy a day-pass ($10?). I'm going to see about obtaining a gate key and placard from the park rangers so we can use my truck to haul our gear up the road to the beach.

Happy diving!

Glenn

Hi Ron,

Yeah, there were 7 of us there. Very fun! Vis was about 6 ft if you squinted hard.

Lots and lots of crawdads. The buggers were everywhere. Even a trout or two. WHoo-hoo!
