I found this link which down the bottom has a clever scale, each click on the blue bottle adds a cubic ft to the tank, then each left click on the scale adds 1pound weight to counteract. So a Luxfer AL40 tank holds 40cu ft, which adds 4pds to the weight of the tank...

I took your advice and settled on 6 Catalina 40 cu ft tanks, 6 valves and 3 basic regulators (with no masks) for NZ $3,200 or 1,500GBP or $2,400US.

Glad you found a solution to your needs. BTW - I keep a cylinder in the garage with a reg on it for filling tires on vehicles. You can get adapters like the one you probably use for blowing dust but for tire stems.
