We're planning a trip next year to WDW and of course, it will include DiveQuest! I have some questions, if any of you can contribute to my knowledge base:
How far in advance do you have to book?
How many divers are there per dive?
What is their pre-dive procedure: what do you do before you even enter the water, and how long does it take? (I've read elsewhere that they require you to check in 3 hrs. prior to your dive????)
What kind of orientation do they give you?
I understand that they "over weight" you -- how much time do you get to figure out your buoyancy before the actual dive begins?
Do they break the dive up so you have some "guided" time and some "free" time?
Do you stay in "buddy" pairs or can you explore by yourself? We are a family of 3 -- will they pair one of us up with a buddy?
Do you get any kind of momento (not including the video for purchase)?
Do they have a special "Disney" dive log page for you to record your experience?
What did you think of their equipment? (we plan to take our own masks)
Can you dive with a camera and take your own pictures?
[this question is based on a video posted on this board]
I noticed all the divers were in split-fins. I'm used to a paddle fin. How much of an adjustment will this be for me?
I won't apologize for the length of my post -- I'm trying to "fill in all the blanks" ahead of time! I'm a big Disney fan and have been dreaming about this for a long time!
