Discovery gets highest ratings for ‘Shark Week’ in its 27 year history.+

A week ago I emailed a former prof (who's been on a few times in past years) and mentioned Shark Week; the response I got back was, "Yeah, I can't watch that **** anymore." I'm flipping it on every now and then; occasionally something worthwhile will come up (the aforementioned deep-sea sharks episode was quite good) but the rest has been crap. At least one of the actual researchers (as opposed to the actor-portrayed fakes in some programs) in the "Monster Hammerhead" one was outright duped into the appearance (as for the others, I would expect Sonny Gruber to know better).

Yeah, the only good part about "Monster Hammerhead" for me was seeing the Esso Bonaire ... where I'm still awaiting my own hammerhead sighting. I've run into bulls there (literally ran into a juvenile tiger last time) and of course scads of lemons.
