Can anyone help me find ferry or air service direct from Roatan to Utila and back. I will be staying on Roatan for 1 week and would like to visit Utila for week 2, but would rather not go via La Ceiba.

Thanks

Only thing available is a private charter.

Nothing regular direct by sea or air.

Steve,

My bad. Is this new? When did it start. Thanks for correcting me. Good news!

Trey

We found it easier to charter a sail boat from island to island. Nothing better to get that imagination going. There's usually a skipper and crew willing to do it. Check around.

Sea ya!

How long is the trip by sail boat?

It's entirely up to the wind but it ain't a quick trip. Took us 4 hours once and one time we had to motor there was NO wind, took about 6 hours. One memorable sail we went with a crew that was looking for, and found, a sea mount that we spent hours on. I wish I'd been sharp enough to record the coordinates!

What are the going rates for the sailboat charters or Saturday air service; also is there Saturday air service from Utila back to Roatan? Thanks for all the help.
