So I've decided that the "Do It Right" philosophy has a lot a merit, but my only complaint is that it falls woefully short of truly being a holistic approach. I'm taking DIR to the next level. I'm taking it to "Do It Right Totally".....a DIRT Diver....I'll follow the DIRT philosophy all the time:
For instance:
1. When eating a meal, I'm going to keep reduntant cutlery stowed under each arm, in case I drop a fork and have one arm hung up in something.
2. Hands free napkin use by tying it off around my neck with a surgical bungee.
3. When walking my dog, I'm going to run the 7' leash over my left shoulder, hook it under my dog-poo bag on my waist, and up around my neck once or twice. This will ensure that I have adeqate length to simply duck my head and hand off my dog in an emergency.
4. When grocery shopping with my wife and she is pushing the cart, I need to check in on her constantly. If there is a wobbly wheel on the cart, or a can falls on the eggs, it is as much my fault as hers since I should have had constant buddy awareness.
5. I'm going to start slithering around my office in the horizontal position, since it is the most streamlined and will incur the least air drag penalty.
Who's with me???
Who is ready to take this DIR thing to the next level and embrace a TRULY holistic approach to diving? If you are ready to take it to the next level, let eveyone know what you are going to do as a new DIRT Diver.
