I get a Major charge out of these people talking up DIR like they know all. When in fact they are divers that are NOT DIR certified but not just that...They have little experience, in the ocean, night diving, deep diving, cold water diving, and it goes on. Yet, these people are handing advice out like it's candy. UnclePug and a few others seem to have the training and VERY MOST IMPORTANTLY OVER ALL..THEY HAVE THE EXPERIENCE to hand out this information.

I've got a question that will stir up the board...

How many posts does it take to equal a dive?

With some it seems like the more posts they have the more "Scuba Experience" they have.

I'm curious... your profile indicates you've been certified for 20 years and your birth year is '72... what agency certified you at age 10?

5 posts = 1 dive (or 4 quarry dives). You can get extra credit if you have a bunch of meaningless CAPITALIZED words randomly scattered within your posts or, better yet, just TYPE THE WHOLE THING in caps. Piss-poor grammar is also extra credit. There's even more extra credit for changing your username occasionally.

CWB,

I was actually certified 19 1/2 yrs. ago with PADI. That's right PADI at age 11. I had been 11 for 3 weeks. I took the class when I was 10 yrs. old. AGAIN P A D I . This was in 1983. Do you know when PADI changed there standards? I'll answer it if you don't already know. It was not always 12 yrs. of age. In fact there was a kid younger than me in my class back then. Then again, if you don't believe this please just give padi a call at 1-800-say-padi.

wreckwriter,

Believe YOU me, I wish HAD stayed WITH bengalsmgtsucks AFTER this "Piss-POOR" season (GREAT grammer).

Go with 1-800-Pay-PADI, that works too :)

I dunno about 83 but in 85 when I became a PADI instructor the age standard was 12, now its 10.

Hey, the Bengals will be back, don't worry! The Rams had a poor season too :(

I never understood that username, what does the "mgt" mean? Management?

Tom

wreckwriter, In 96' when I became a PADI instructor I had the wife of Ralph Ericson (President, Co-Founder of PADI) agrue with me about the age limit in 1983. I don't really now what the age limit was in 83'. However the fact remains I took the class at 10 and got certified at 11 with a PADI Jr. Card. Also there was another kid younger than I was in the class.

I new about the 1-800-pay-padi but I didn't want to go there. Glad someone did. Put Another Dollar In, Pay And Dive Instantly, Pitiful Aquatic Diving Industry.

Next yr. the bengals should have an entire new staff and team. Hell they might as well be an expansion team.

the mgt does or did stand for management.

are all being traded to the Bengals
for $37.00 and a future draft choice.:(

I'm not suprised. They'll ruin another top draft choice next yr, without a doubt! Akili should be a top 10 QB right now but leave it to the bengals to destroy his career. :bonk:
