Halthron:
You have a canister light? Or would this be a Salvo backup light?
the backup... but it's got a big SALVO on the side... enough that when you hang it from your rig you will really get your friendly neighborhood cult leader's goat

Halthron:
I may swap out my blue harness for the stiff black one I have but that would be just temporary since I know how tech instructors tend to go "Like owmahgawd! whtRU wearing?!?!!111one?eleven? It's BLUE! And a bit FLOPPY!" I argued with Tom for about 20 minutes about it. I still have time to try to find a stiff blue webbing though.

Hmm, Hammerhead plate, Oxycheq Vertex wing and rental regs and doubles. Not a whole lot of H gear there :D

youl need to get your jetfins with spring straps, 22" lp hose for backup reg.

that is one way of not getting certified. I strongly suggest you avaoid the S brand while doing your training with "H" guys.

its a prickly issue........

professionality .... well better to be safe than be pissed.

Interesting course. Too complicated--gearwise--for me at the moment. Is Matt taking the course too?

I like black though :D

I know most of the exchanges here are teasing, but not everybody reading about Fundies may know that, so I just want to say that the gear requirements are pretty simple -- BP/W, long hose and necklaced secondary, non-split fins. You do not have to have a can light, and truly, nobody cares what brand any of it is as long as it meets criteria for function -- and in fact, you can TAKE the course in stuff that's not optimal. They'll just point it out to you.
