Spectre once bubbled...

After driving close to 400 miles on thursday, I was screaming by the end of the trip...

"RULE NUMBER #1. IF THERE IS NO ONE IN FRONT OF YOU, SOMEONE BEHIND YOU, AND SPACE TO YOUR RIGHT. GET THE &@^% OUT OF MY WAY!!!!"

Yeah, that's only one of the reasons my car looks like an unmarked state trooper. I don't even need to touch the brakes after sundown. People simply get out of the way.

How about this. Just because there is snow on the edges of the road, you don't need to drive like we are still in the middle of the ******* blizzard (the road was completely dry).

.............wants to put a plate on the front of the car that reads......."If your not in the crosswalk, your *** is MINE"
We live in a small university town where all the crazy kids run across the street not 50 feet from a crosswalk.

Heh heh.... Dan, you might be one of the only people that will truely understand what I do...

Snow days.. I drive the 60 miles to work.

the day _after_ snow days, I work from home....

... cause that's when the people that were too scared to drive the day before come out and drive 20 mph thinking it's still snowing!

I agree with the frustrations of fast lanes filled with slow drivers. Experienced that just last night. It causes other idiot drivers to be more idiotic. Also, we have a two lane highway here that occasionally has the extra passing lane with a sign that says "slower divers keep right" Why can't the slower drivers ever move over? Really p#%$*@ me off.

As long as my blood pressure is up, what about the drivers that can afford to expend the energy to lift their left hand to turn on their turn signal?

The idiot that drives 15 mph below the speed limit until you attempt to pass and they kick it up 20mph.

I would like to add.. If you are afraid to drive in the snow or rain....stay the he77 out of the left lane.
BTW: To the new SUV (Yuppie Shopping Carts)crowd. 4WD can make you go, but it does nothing for your ability to STOP.

After working on an ambulance for a few years, I seem to notice a problem that drivers have. The whole concept of moving to right escapes them. Ambulance coming up, lights and siren blaring? Slam on your brakes right in front of them seems to be their trademark move. Someone behind you in the fast lane trying to pass? Stay at 20 mph under the speed limit keeping right next to the slow moving truck so there is no way you'll ever pass them. Something must be done, somebody do something. May I have the larger soap box please? :D

Left lane is the passing lane.....

If the lane you are traveling in is closing, for construction or it is an exit only, DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO SQUEEZE INTO THE NEXT LANE!!!!!

I thought this only happened in Texas.

Rubberneckers... nuff said.

or there is ice on the road, the several car lengths I am leaving in front of me are so I can stop before slamming into the car ahead of me, not so you can squeeze your vehicle into my lane while driving like an idiot.

If I'm on the freeway and traffic is jammed up in all lanes so there is no hope of actually going the speed limit, driving 12 inches from my bumper isn't going to make me speed up, do you really think we're all going so slow because we want to?

Get this...several years ago in Vancouver there was a scam going on where several driving schools were caught working in conjunction with some totally unscrupulous licence examiners and they were basicly selling drivers licences. They figure that several thousand licences were issued in this manner but...they decided not to re-test any of the people who went through the examiners in question because it would be "unfair" to the people who didn't pay for their licences to have to be tested again. Great...no wonder our insurance is going up! :bonk:

Right up there with that is when I am trying to merge on, accelerating on the entrance ramp, 4 lane highway, and the guy has to stay in the far right lane, even though the other 3 are empty. Would it kill you to either take the foot off the gas or move over a lane so I can get in before I'm run off the road?

As for lights - I use constant on. Studies have shown that lights on even during daylight hours reduce accidents
