We are currently in Cozumel and tried to book 8 at Buccano's for Friday but they were full. We are a group of 8 and it will be the last night for this trip. We have several nice restaurants that we frequent but were looking for something new or especially outstanding. One of the group suggested trying the "new" Prima now that they have moved back in town AND supposedly have new management/ownership. Has anyone tried it yet and if so, was it worth it? If not, any other suggestions besides the old and current Christie's list. Also though about Los Moro back in the hood but was looking for something a little nicer. Thanks for any suggestions!

Its pretty much the same menu as Old Prima, prices are a bit up but parking is easy. Albert's Ex wife (Sesi) runs the place and she is pretty nice. It is on ave 10 and just north of the town square. I eat there occasionally.

Thanks Dave. Diving with you guys this week and Jorge has been great! Still looking for Memo to show up somewhere. Sorry to read about the events of the week. We may try it out depending on other suggestions. We are staying a El Cantil this time and they gave us a 25% off coupon to use so that may sway the vote.

There is a new restaurant called Jacinta - I haven't tried it yet - it is the priciest place on the island - but I hear it's good. Here is their facebook page and you can see the menu.

There is also another pretty new spot on the waterfront, upstairs by Tiki Toc and Zocalo - can't think of the name of it to save my life right now - but I have heard good reviews - have not personally tried it.

The New Prima is good - nothing fancy, but it's good. I actually recall the prices being lower than the old Prima. My chicken breast with steamed veggies and pasta was only $9usd - I recall that same dish being more like $12 previously.

Just so you know, Memo has been tied up this whole week with the untimely death of one of our dear friends. It was of course a heart problem but the loss is felt no less. Memo will be back in the office tomorrow. The 20% discount is hard to use but I don't blame you.
