A little help, please! Most of my tanks have H-valves installed so that I can dive with redundant first stages. Having recently seen an H-valve get whacked and lose it's integrity, I'm wondering if these valves aren't creating a problem in the course of solving one. I use H-valves because it was what was available - and because I want DIN connections. I've been looking around for alternatives and am not coming up with much, so I'm looking for an education...
  • Due to failure point issues, doesn't a Y valve make more sense than an H valve?
  • Any thoughts on Y -vs- H valves in general?
  • Does anyone other than Beauchat make a DIN Y-valve?
  • Does anyone have any comments about Beauchat valves or their DIN Y-valve in particular?
Thanks in advance!

Steven
