The Digital Lens Dock was designed to hold one lens. Since it grips the lens tightly even when loosened, it may be possible to simultaneously mount 2 lenses, one on either side of the DLD. However, I've never tried this, so I'm not sure it would work. I'm concerned that when loosening the DLD just enough to dock or undock one lens, the other one will come loose. With the DLD's tether system, you wouldn't lose it, but it would be inconvenient. ALso, you'd also have to get really creative in finding a place to put the DLD so that you'd have easy access to both sides.

One possibility is to simply get a 2nd DLD. Another thought is that the only time you'd have to dock 2 lenses would be when you were only using the camera's internal lens. How often would this happen? As long as either your WA or macro is on the housing, you'd only have a single lens docked at any given time. When changing over, you could just let the other lens hang by its tether.

I'm aware that Inon (I think) makes a dual "lens caddy." However, like all other lens holders, it is a threaded metal item, requiring that the lens be screwed and unscrewed into and out of it every time you use it. In my opinion, this opens up too many opportunities for damaging the lenses' fine threads. All it takes is a grain of sand, or a slight cross-threading, and they're ruined. That's why the DLD was made to hold without threading. It's a lot safer, faster, and easier to use.

Hey Greg....that was fast!

I hadnt thought of that---I guess there would only be one lens to dock at a time. I think I need one of these!

Thanks for all the input!
