My bad - typo - meant 360, not 306

In that case, I would either buy the regular Titan from your LDS or the Titan LX from Leisurepro. But, I would check on the free octo deal before I made a decision.

The difference between the two regs is unbalanced versus balanced second stages. But, an unbalanced second stage is not necessarily a bad thing. Balanced is a "buzz" word in scuba, and for the average recreational diver the difference between the two is actually no big deal. For example, all Mares regs have unbalanced second stages, and some are pretty darned good breathers.

As long a the first stage is balance the rec diver will have little to no issues. Yeah, I total agree the "buzz" word in scuba is the balance second stage. But most divers out there still using their balance first and unbalance second, as balance 2nd is still pretty new to the market.

Take your time, look at all you options and choices. Dive safe.
