This is for all those people, like myself, that hate the after-taste of Diet Pepsi or Coke. Coca-Cola just released a new product today called "C2".

It's a special brand of Coca-Cola with half the calories and carbs. I've never been able to drink Diet Coke because of the after-taste but this new product virtually eliminates it. Drinking out of the 20 oz, it has a slight taste, but it's gone rapidly. In a cup of ice it's not noticable at all.

Stats are:

C2
8 oz serving
Calories = 45
Carbs = 12g
Sugar = 12g

Just thought I'd spread the word to my fellow divers on a diet who need a cola fix every now and then but can't stomach diet coke hehe.

It makes no sense for anyone to worry about such a piddly number of "carbs". The problem most people have is not 1 can of cola per day, it's 3 or 4, plus potato chips, bagels and cream cheese, donuts, candy bars, etc.

It's not WHAT is being consumed so much as it is HOW MUCH.

Cripes, I work with a lovely young lady who "diets" during the week so she can drink and party on the weekends.

If Britney is in a add for it, I'll drink it...............

I, for one, do not hate Diet Pepsi. In fact, I'm having one right now. I'm not fond of Diet Coke, though, but will drink in a pinch. My personal pre/post-dive quirk is a diet pepsi. An average 12oz regular cola has the equivalent of 10 spoons of sugar. Therefore, the "new" Coke still has the equivalent of 5 spoons of sugar. That's still much more than what I put in my tea or coffee. The sugar is more of a fat danger to you than the calories, regular or C2. I realize that diet doesn't mean healthy, so I try to drink more water than Diet Pepsi. Still lots of sodium in soda, diet or not.

If you really knew what diet sodas are made of and what it does to your body, you would never touch that stuff.

Drinking out of the 20 oz,...

Stats are:

C2
8 oz serving
Calories = 45
Carbs = 12g
Sugar = 12g
So for a 20oz that's 2.5 servings or:

C2
20 oz serving
Calories = 112.5
Carbs = 30g
Sugar = 30g

When you really pay attention to the serving sizes of things, it is very easy to see why "fat" is so popular .. er .. "common".

Just as Diet Coke is a shallow substitute for Diet Pepsi, and Dasani is gutter water to AquaFina's necter of life, this too will doubtless suck.

Coke doesn't get it. They are the leader because of their savvy marketing and not remotely due to the taste of their product. I give them the marketing awards, I esteem them nothing for complete line of drek beverages.

How do I really feel about anything Coke-like? I could go on for days. They Coke blows...
