I never liked skin diver!!
I had a subscription to Underwater USA years ago. They went under and replaced my subscription with skin diver :-(
I realy miss Underwater USA It was a great scuba news paper!!

Why are they going under?
On the front of the mag it says "The world's most read scuba diving and snorkeling magazine."
Personally I liked it. The annual photo issues rocked!

nice pic's but it was more of a travel brochure than a divers mag.

To me it was a cover to cover vacation brochure!!
Lots of pretty pictures thats it. But im a cold green water diver

Given the number of ads in that magazine, I doubt it.
Where is your source of information?
the mag was 100% travel adds. if you where a new diver who wanted to go to the bussiest dive sites in the world, you just pick up that mag and they will send you there. and their articals where about the advertising, they where totaly controled by thier advertisers.
however it is always sad when a bussiness goes under.

My bet is that the reports of the demise of Skin Diver are inaccurate. They're still selling subscriptions on their website and advertising their February trip to the Antarctic...
