I had the pleasure of diving the HMS Yukon this morning.

She had a good 20' vis, & no surge.
The 2.5' swell made for a smooth ride out.
She is down to one buoy at the conning tower.

Yukon

Hey I don't care how many buoys are on the Yukon. The important question is whether there were any gulls around today!

After waiting 5 weeks to recover from minor surgery, I was then sidelined by the fact the Dr. Bill Mobile (my golf cart) wasn't running. Just got it back from the shop today and... guess what... the skies are overcast and dark with rain forecast. Looks like 12-12-12 was a wash and I'll have to wait a few more days to get wet again.

I don't remember any gulls Dr. Bill. The only rain I can find is still North of Santa Barbara. Glad to hear you're on the mend! I can wait till Feb 23 to hang out in your backyard.

I had a lovely dive with our Wednesday Tweak group. The highlights were some lovely nudis and two red octos, one of which WANTED his picture taken.

Did not dive on 12/12/12 even though the Red Sea was on my doorstep, had to fly today so it would have been a big no no.

My employers, those heartless capitalists, expected me to work on 12-12-12, so no diving. A grave injustice. I'm jealous of those of you who did manage to get wet.

The next best thing to diving is flying. Where did you fly to Searcaigh?

And yet no pictures of octopus (octopii ??) in your post. Boo. Lovely shots though.

Love your nudis, but where is the octo?
