Did I wreck my reg?

Make sure that the spg gets removed and dried out, preferably near a heat source.

The concern is that large amounts of water start corroding the brass bourdon tube in the spg, and the verdigris (green corrosion) blocks the tube, making the spg read incorrectly. It can also weaken the tube, causing it (years later, probably) to blow out. Last, but not least, corrosion in the hp spool makes it hard to turn your spg on its hose.

All come apart, all get dried, hoses and all. Sorry to say.
 
Thanks for all the info! I hope that I don't ever do that again (I think I'll remember...especially since I now have to pay the reg service technician for a big chunk of labor!)
