An evening Aloha!

We "all" want to help you have a wonderful time here and you are very welcome. I do DM at Fathom and would love to take you diving - but will without question help you regardless of where and which company you dive with. We do rent new 5mm suits at Fathom so no worries on that. No water issues currently for us here on the south side. Also, all roads are open today and very little traffic issues - though (for reasons you can understand) they are asking locals to minimize travel if not needed. Roads are already being repaired today by crews. The north shore roads are a little slow and go and one lane in at least one area - but looking better. We aren't in the clear by any means - but today had a fair amount of sunshine with little wind and flat south side waters. More rain is expected but we're hoping not the extent of the previous systems. I'll update you as much as ya like. (Hey, on a lighthearted side note - Kauai ATV tours are probably kickin up more mud than ever before!) Ok, that doesn't help us divers so I'll move on... The first dive boat went out today to check Niihau and I do not have results just yet though I will know in the am. I will likely get out in the morning to freedive our south shore dive spots to see what is going on in the great big (usually)blue! I'll have a hard time sleeping I'm so anxious to get wet! Anyway,we will take care of you I promise. And a good side note...we did have an active day of whales on the south side of the island. I spent an hour at the Waiohai (Poipu) this am watching a group of whales putting on an exciting show for all who peaked out of their rooms to greet the sunshine! The "ooohs" and "ahhhs" made me think I was at a pro sports arena. I also watched a mom and calf off the Sheraton Poipu around sunset for about 30 minutes before it got dark. Not a bad way to spend an evening in Paradise.
Oh, you might have to ask for "Anthony" at Fathom. Otherwise, they might be a little confused with the aquaman. Lynne, keep that great outlook and the island will take care of the rest. Consider the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook for any on island plans - it's great! And again - I'm happy to help with any suggestions/ideas/questions...well, you get the idea.

Best wishes to you as you get ready to visit! I'm excited for you.
