Did anyone try this hostel in Mabul?

I am a backpacker diver and very interested in this hostel in Mabul.

Did anyone try it? Could you share your experience?

Is the accommodation ok? Are there some "clean" food shops in the village? Is the dive boat well-equipped? Are give masters good?

I think it is in Sandakan instead of Mabul, according to their web site.

Didn't get that far down the web site to see that. Sounded like quite a good deal. I would like to know about how it is like too.

just been there we stayed in Semporna (Lee's guest house RM35 ac,ctv onsuite)and in a longhouse on Mabul (RM60 food family stay) we dove with Scubajunkies RM300 for 2 dives at Sipadan and 1 in Mabul.

This sounds like a great deal! How was the overall experience, quality of the dives, staff etc.?

Diving was superb, dive ops was average boat ride of about an hour if the boat is not fully loaded but they said that they would get another boat, they do also trips to other islands near by which is even cheaper, go for it I will def go back.

For RM400 you could stay at a proper resort at Mabul and do unlimited diving. Just shop around in KK before you head to Tawau.
