Did a dive from Fran Marcoux's boat the Day Breaker today. Went to Burnham Rock and Halfway ROck. Both dives were very good and the water was as warm as pee water. Saw many huge lobsters at both sites.

I will post some pictures on photobucket.com. use stogey and scubaplay.

8am. We went to egg rock and the so called 'hump' rock off magnolia. Viz was about 10 to 15. At egg rock i was reading 64 degrees at 40 feet. Lots of bugs. Saw a good sized egger with a v notch. A decent surge off magnolia as well. I thought the swells were good sized. Marine forecast said 2-4ft. i would say they were 4 feet at least.

ah, pee water temp at 64 degrees? guess I dove in the hot tub today with the temp of 82 degrees, no wonder the hammerheads were so docile..........

Sunday I was at Cape Hedge Beach, and visibility ranged from 3’-4’ on the right side of the reef (that is, if you are standing on the beach looking at the reef) to about 15’ on the left side and seaward of the reef.

One of the five lobsters I caught was definitely "evolution in action." I did not even see it -- the lobster attacked me out in the open! And it was a softshell -- easy prey for any striped bass or torpedo ray that happened nearby.

Dumb lobster, goes into the bag.
